FanDuel co-founders Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones, who made a mint with their daily fantasy sports startup, have launched a new venture in the crypto casino space. Their latest creation is BetHog, which aims to disrupt online gambling, much like they did with FanDuel.
Built on the fast and affordable Solana blockchain, BetHog offers the usual lineup of provably fair casino classics along with sports betting. But Eccles wants to shake things up by developing unique visual games that rely on skill as well as chance. We’re talking new genres beyond slots, roulette and blackjack designed from the ground up for the Web3 era.
Players can fund their accounts and get paid out in top cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum. BetHog is also promising juicy rewards for frequent gamblers through its VIP program. They built FanDuel into a fantasy sports giant before selling to Paddy Power Betfair in 2016. Now they aim to work their magic in online gambling 2.0.
